Safety and good health are therefore paramount at Juken New Zealand Ltd - whether it be in our Forests or our Mills. It is why we endeavour to take every measure possible and practicable to protect our employees (and visitors) at all times.

We have developed comprehensive and robust safety systems across every aspect of our business - to such an extent that in 2004 a NZ Department of Labour Safety Inspector publicly described us as being well on the way towards setting "standards for the industry". Our systems and practices have also been favorably reviewed by NZ's statutory work-place accident insurer (Accident Compensation Corporation - ACC), and we have achieved the highest level of certification (Tertiary) under its Workplace Safety Management Practices programme. 

But unless there is ongoing vigilance and commitment towards Safety and Health by our staff, the systems by themselves will be insufficient.
