Our Plywood Products and Uses
Plywood Overview
Our Plywood products are made in different thicknesses using selected grades of rotary peeled wood veneers that are glued with durable water resistent structural adhesive then layered and pressed together with the grain of each veneer lying at right angles (cross-band) to the grain of the adjacent veneer. Depending on the intended end use of a Plywood product, the veneers can be of different thicknesses, qualities or grades.
Our Plywood products can be readilly sawn, screwed and nailed using standard woodworking tools; they have high impact resistence making them ideal for heavy duty use; they are dimensionally stable because of their cross-band fabrication; they have high strength and stiffness both parallel and perpendicular to the face grain; and they have high racking resistence (for bracing uses) and high strength-to-weight ratio (for load bearing uses). Thinner Plywoods can be bent into a curved shape.
All of which makes our Plywood products well-suited to a wide-range of internal and external structural and non-structural uses, including where appearance is important.
